Woolen Waistcoat
A nice gentlemen’s waistcoat
The Waistcoat from a Sewing Bee pattern
This is my first - and only, so far - foray into men’s clothes, but I think it’s one of my most-worn makes. The fabrics were from Skipper Stoffer (meaning they are quite fancy - it’s Paul Smith and that’s just on the inside) and the buttons were made from the same. There was some precision cutting needed for this which I only realised after I had cut the fabric: the seam allowances weren’t very big, and the lining had to be just the right amount wider than the outside of the waistcoat to get the rolled edge at the front, but it worked out well in the end.
Wear: This one has had lots of wears, to xmas parties and even a wedding!
